About The Wedding Organizer
Here at the Wedding Organizer we strive to provide useful, accurate and friendly advice to couples planning weddings in the UK, and connect them with reputable wedding suppliers in their local area. The Wedding Organizer is one of three publications produced by Organiser Publications, founded by Jean Hunt.
Perhaps you’ve heard of us already…
The Wedding Organizer started life as a printed publication covering a relatively small area of the midlands and northern England. Over ten years, it became known as “The Bride’s Bible” and even won an award (it's on the wall in our office and makes us very happy).
From print to e-publishing
In 2009, the Wedding Organizer changed its printing methods to enable the books to be recycled, but it was becoming clear to us that our impact on the environment had to be addressed more comprehensively.
It wasn’t enough that the paper we printed on was from sustainable sources and could be recycled (unlike earlier versions of the glossy book). We realised that the distribution of the books across hundreds of square miles, and the energy used to produce them (and then ultimately recycle them!) was simply unacceptable.
So we made a big decision: we turned our glossy A5 book into an e-book.
Now couples all over the country can download the e-book, and no trees die in the process. Hooray! And for the bits that simply need to be scribbled all over (budget planners, guest lists etc) we’ve produced simple PDFs that you can download from our planning tools page and print at home when you need them.

2010 also saw the launch of our brand new website with a blog that we’re all very excited about. So come join in the conversation, let us know what you need, and above all else, let’s bring the fun back into wedding planning! It’s not all lists and stress you know…
