Forget the flowers, dresses, choice of menu, none of it is as important as having a chocolate fountain at my wedding! Well, maybe that's an exaggeration but I went to a party last night which had one and I don't think I moved more than three feet away from it all evening! I ended up on first name terms with the girls serving and tried all sorts of combinations for the dips. I wonder if they do any home versions… no that's a bad idea, I'll never fit into anything ever again let alone my wedding dress!
Whoever thought of making a giant cascading fondue for chocolate should get a knighthood. There is something so deliciously decadent about stacking a wooden skewer with treats like fresh fruit and marshmallow and then letting the warm chocolate run over it. There were some chocolate brownie pieces to die for and the fudge was divine. They even had jelly babies! I don't know how those girls stood there all night helping guests with their dips and keeping it all replenished and tidy without eating it all themselves! Maybe in their first week they're allowed to eat as much as they like so they don't get tempted. I should've asked them, maybe that would be a good career change for me…
So today's job is to call the chocolate fountain companies in my Wedding Organizer e-book and get some quotes. The girls helped me draw up a list of questions to ask. Then I need to go swimming and start to work off the small mountain of choccy heaven I had last night…
