My other half is really stressed about who to have as best man. He has two very close friends and also a brother, all of whom privately hope to be picked. He has asked me for help but I don't know how to advise him. Do you have any ideas?

You could suggest that he has three best men! It may sound silly, but he could divide the traditional duties between them according to their strengths. For example, one could organise the stag do, another could be responsible for the rings and the ceremony and the third could make the speech. Then they can all be involved and special on the day with no noses put out of joint. The ones that hate public speaking could also be very relieved!
