Don't feel you have to go out on a drinking spree if that isn't what you normally like. Your friends will enjoy any kind of celebration if it's clear that it's what you want to do.
If you plan to have your do in your favourite restaurant, it may be wise to warn them that the booking is for a hen or stag night so they can seat you in a place that is considerate to other diners in case it gets noisy!
