Before planning a trip to France to get cheaper wine, check with your venue about any corkage fee – it may be more economical to have the house wine instead.
Don't feel pressured to have champagne for the toasts if it is beyond your budget – many wedding guests won't be able to tell they are drinking cava after all the wine with the meal anyway!
